X17CrNi16-2
Martensitic stainless steel
AISI431 steel, martensitic and hardenable, it is characterised by high corrosion and fatigue resistance, superior to common chrome steels, with optimised machinability. It is the most corrosion-resistant of the martensitic steels, also effective in a marine environment. Withstands up to 750°C in continuous use and 800°C in intermittent use. This steel is forged between 1150-900°C, requiring slow cooling and immediate annealing.
